Players are awarded points for participating in a Tournament. Points determine a player’s rank within the league, as well as eligibility for quarterly tournaments; players must have 1000 points to qualify for quarterly tournaments. Player points reset every quarter.
Depending on the size of the Tournament, players will receive points corresponding to their final position.
- In Tournaments with 34 or fewer players, 1st through 12th place will receive points.
- In Tournaments with 35 or more players, 1st through 16th place will receive points.
Players who do not finish within the above places will NO LONGER receive participation points.
It will be the player’s responsibility to make sure they write down the place in which they finished at the end of each tournament.
Player points are structured as follows:
| Place | Points Received |
|---|---|
| 1st Place | 250 |
| 2nd Place | 200 |
| 3rd Place | 175 |
| 4th Place | 150 |
| 5th Place | 125 |
| 6th Place | 100 |
| 7th Place | 75 |
| 8th Place | 50 |
| 9th Place | 45 |
| 10th Place | 40 |
| 11th Place | 35 |
| 12th Place | 30 |
| 13th – 16th Place | 25 |
In addition to place points, players may also receive bonus points based on the number of players in the tournament.
First place will receive 5 points for every player over 25 players. Therefore, if there are 35 players in a tournament, first place will receive 50 bonus points. Subsequent places will receive a percentage of these bonus points:
| Place | Bonus Points Received |
|---|---|
| 2nd Place | 70% |
| 3rd Place | 50% |
| 4th Place | 40% |
| 5th Place | 30% |
| 6th Place | 20% |
| 7th Place | 10% |
| 8th Place | 5% |
| 9th Place | 2% |
| 10th Place | 2% |
| 11th Place | 1% |
| 12th Place | 1% |
In tournaments with 25 or fewer players, no bonus points will be given.
Therefore, in a tournament with 30 players, first place would receive 275 points: 250 base points + 25 bonus points. Third place would receive 194 points: 175 base points + 19 bonus points.
All points will be rounded to the nearest point.
